      <image:caption>Benjamin T. Mast, PhD, ABPP is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified geropsychologist specializing in aging and dementia. He serves as a professor in the Department of Psychological &amp; Brain Sciences and as a clinical psychologist in the Trager Center Optimal Aging Clinic at the University of Louisville. His academic and clinical work is focused on the assessment of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and person-centered care. He recently chaired the American Psychological Association Task Force for the Guidelines for the Evaluation of Dementia and Age-Related Cognitive Decline and has received the APA Committee on Aging Award for the Advancement of Psychology and Aging. Dr. Mast has written several books on dementia and person-centered care and currently serves as editor for Aging &amp; Mental Health, an international scientific journal. He was recognized by the American Psychological Association for his work on dementia and whole person approaches with the APA CONA Award for the Advancement of Psychology and Aging.</image:caption>
